    Tuesday's Mega Run = $16.22

I was pretty proud of this Mega Run.  I did 4 separate transactions.
    My Grand Total:  $16.22!!

Here is a breakdown of what I purchased:
    15 12pks Coke Products
    1 Planters Peanuts
    2 Orville Popcorn
    2 Swanson Chicken Broth
    3 Hallmark Cards
    2 Jello's
    8 Duracell Batteries
    3 Chunky Soups
    2 Kraft Mashmellows
2 Dole Mixed Fruit (glass jar)

    Coupons used:
    5 Food City Coke Coupons
    5 Market Pro Ranch Coke
    4 Fresh & Easy $5/$20
Planters Peanuts - Target & Mfg
2 Orville - Safeway Thanksgiving Book
    Swanson Broth - Target (?) & Mfg
Hallmark - Auto $2 off at Register for buying 3
    Jello - Target & Mfg
    8 Duracell $1.50
    3 Chunky Soup
Kraft Marshmallow - Target & Tear pad $1/2
    2 Dole Mfg

I opted to go through self checkout.  I did two (small) transactions of the food without problems and took them to the car.  I came back in and did the two seperate soda deals.  Since I had an easy time in the self checkout I went there again.  Big mistake!  The cashier decides that I can no longer use the Fresh & Easy $5/$20 coupon.  She goes on to say that it is "one per family".  I politely asked her if I could see the policy.  I read it and re-read it.  It states "yadda, yadda, yadda...one per order".  She said that per order was the same as  per familyWhat?  I explained to her that customers are told that order is the same as transaction.  She decided to "allow" it to go through as if she was doing me a favor.  Whatever.  I'm glad I checked my receipt, she charged me for a "Gift Basket" instead of taking off a Competitor Coupon.  This was a $4 error.  Before I left the store I went up to CS and I was handed $4 without a blink of an eye.

    AZ Blog Hop - Bookmans!!!

I know that this subject has been discussed by KC at Desert Deals Diva, that's how I know about this store.  I just want to toss my two-cents in too.  BTW KC, thank you so much for sharing this information!!

I went to Bookmans today.  It's a bit of a cruise from where I live but since my boys had today off for  ---> HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY <---  we decided a road trip would be fun.  I gathered up all my 'FREE' and most recent magazines and set my GPS and away we went.

The store that we went to in the Valley was located at 19th Avenue and Northern.  It is a very nice and big store.  I received $11 store credit for the magazines that they wanted so the boys and walked around to see what we may want to purchase with our credit.

They have all kinds of books, music, movies, video games and accessories, comic books, magazines,  and I am sure I am forgetting to mention some things.

I found two books and the boys found a video game that they quote "have been dieing to have".  Hee hee.  Our total was exactly $11 before tax and we proceeded up to the cashier.  After the items were scanned the cashier rang a bell and said that "I was a winner!!!".

I must admit, I tossed my arms up in the air and jumped a bit...and thought to myself Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!  ;-)

The man said that they give away two purchases each day randomly and I was the first one of the day!  Wow!!  Talk about a great first trip to Bookmans!!!

I know that this store may be old news to some, I just wanted to share my experience about Bookmans so that hopefully others go and enjoy this awesome store too!

Special Thanks to KC for originally sharing Bookmans with us.

    Coupons!!

I was telling her that I am saving all my Rx Gift Card Money for Christmas and she didn't understand what I was talking about.
--->Do you know about Rx Gift Card Money?<----

I'd like to tell you about a great AZ Win-Win when it comes to Coupons and Rx.

Be sure to look in your weekly ads - all of them, but KMart, Target, Safeway, Fry's and CVS seem to be the main players when it comes to Rx coupons.
The coupon will say something like....

"Get a $XX.xx Gift Card for a New and/or Transferred Prescription"
Save these!!  All of them!!  You just never know when you or a friend may need them.
Once you have purchased your New and/or transferred Rx you will hand over your coupon and you will be given the amount stated on a gift card or if at Fry's on your VIP card.
H'm...You say you have a Rx you can transfer and fill right now...
    Well Guess What?
    You are in LUCK!
Right now *Fry's is running a promo that you can get up to (4) $25 VIP Adds (money added to your store card) for transferred and filled Rx's until 11/30/2010!!
I hope this was informative and you are able to cash in on some Gift Card Money when you'd be purchasing your Rx anyway!

*Look on page 2, bottom left corner of current Fry's ad for more information.  Fry's will take Rx competitors coupons.

    AZ BlogHop - Freecycle

This week I'd like to share with you The Freecycle Network

Ever hear of it?  The nuts and bolts behind FREECYCLE is to keep usable items out of our landfills.  It is FREE to join and is an e-mail moderated based group with policies and procedures.

How does it work?  Let's say I have moving boxes that are in good shape to use again.  Instead of tossing them in the recycling bin, I would post them to the group.  If someone is interested they will e-mail me direct.  They would let me know when they can pick them up and I would let them know where I will put them for them to come pick up.  Usually the front porch is a common spot. Although the concept of this group is spectacular already, another plus is that these items that you no longer want will be picked up.  Let me say that again...these items will be picked up - most of the time the same day!

This group works both ways.  It's a Give and Take.  Let's say there is something that I WANT.  I am currently looking for a desk - a decent usable one but right now I don't want to go out and buy one.  So I posted my WANT to the group.   If someone has a desk that they no longer want they will contact me and let me know that I can have it.

I have belonged to our cities group for a few years now.  The most common things that seem to be posted are clothes - all sizes, kitchen items, appliances, kids toys, baby items, moving boxes, furniture and every once in a while computers and TV's.

So the next time you are cleaning out your garage, purging your closets, or have left over items from a garage sale, don't through it away...think of FREECYCLE
